The Legionnaires disease, which was being curtailed from spreading, had infected over 100 persons in less than a week with nine deaths recorded. SI Noticias, a local media in Portugal, reported that since October 30, seven people have died from the disease, and two others died at the Póvoa de Varzim Hospital Center / Vila do Conde. Asa, a resident of Matosinhos, a city in Portugal, said residents were being tested for the virus daily for the commencement of treatment before it escalates. "My family just went for consultation and testing at a Hospital Pedro Hispano. We saw many who are being treated, and everybody in the community is scared," he said. Lil Yase, 25-year-old was reportedly shot and killed following a Saturday morning shooting in San Francisco Bay Area. His death has been described in reports ads being ‘suspicious’ as his body was found in the southern section of the East Bay, miles from where he was last seen.  Gunmen have reportedly assassinated the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi, in the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.  Oba Adeusi, was said to be  assassinated at 4pm on his way back from a meeting in Akure, following an ambush. According to the report, only the Oba was shot, nobody else was injured neither was anything taken. His corpse has reportedly been conveyed to the Federal Medical Centre. Oba Adeusi ascended the throne about 23 years ago and was in his 60s.

The legendary Argentinian footballer Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60, the country's football association has said. Maradona, who captained Argentina's 1986 World Cup-winning team, is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time - if not the greatest. There will be three days of national mourning, Argentinian president Alberto Fernandez has said. The star, who underwent surgery for a subdural haematoma a few weeks ago, died of a heart attack, his lawyer said. It happened at his home on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, according to Argentinian media. However, @adamugarba & his lawyers failed to show up in Court without given reasons & the Court has now adjourned case to 22nd April, 2021," Tope Akinyode disclosed.

Uruguay’s Luis Suarez has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the World Cup qualifying match against Brazil, Uruguay’s football association announced Monday. “Tests have been carried out on all the members of the national team, with the result that the players Luis Suarez (and) Rodrigo Munoz and the official, Matias Faral, have tested positive for Covid-19,” the federation said in a statement.  All three are “in good health”, it added. President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has called for great afford to facilitate equitable access and distribution of the coronavirus vaccine to protect people in all countries. Pfizer, Russia both claimed that there vaccines are 90% effective for the treatment of the virus, that has ravaged top economies in the world. "I welcome the news that a Coronavirus vaccine has recorded 90% effectiveness in clinical trials. This is a major milestone. The world must now make great effort to facilitate equitable access and distribution of these vaccines, to protect people in ALL countries," Buhari said in a tweet on Tuesday.

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday announced his intention to repeal the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former Governors and their Deputies. He made this known while presenting the 2021 budget to the Lagos State House of Assembly. According to Sanwo-Olu, the abolition of pension for former governors and deputies will reduce the cost of governance. Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, quoted the governor as saying, “Mr. Speaker and Honourable Members of the House, in light of keeping the costs of governance low and to signal selflessness in public service, we will be sending a draft executive bill to the House imminently for the repeal of the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former Governors and their Deputies.”

A Covid-19 vaccine developed by drug giant Pfizer and German biotechnology firm BioNTech, has been found to be more than 90 per cent effective. The finding was the result of the first independent analysis of any Covid-19 vaccine in phase 3 trials — the final stage before commercial licensing. Rapper and social media influencer Braxton 'Brax' Baker has passed away. she was 21. News of her death was posted by her mother, Leticia Loftin Russel, on Instagram on Thursday. "Our angel, Braxton Blue.B Baker has ascended," she wrote. " It was a spiritual release. God retrieved the angel He loaned us."
