Ex- American Idol contestant charged for sex with minor.

A former American Idol contestant is facing multiple counts of sex with a minor in his home state. Ron Bultongez, who made it far during the 2018 season, was arrested in Grapevine, Texas when he turned himself in on July 15, according to TMZ. Prosecutors say the alleged incident occured between December 2020 and February 2021. Bultongez is charged with 4 counts of sexual penetration of a minor under the age of 17 on 4 occasions. He was released a couple of days after his arrest after posting a $50,000 bond. He is yet to make his first court appearance. Source- TMZ

Man fears for his life after he is falsely accused of shooting Los Angeles county Sheriff's Deputies.

A California youth football coach has been devastated following false accusation that he is the gunman behind the ambush of two Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies. Darnell Hicks said he was stunned to see his name linked to the attack hours after the act was perpetrated. The two officers were shot as they sat in their patrol car in Compton, California. Mr Hicks said he was at home last Saturday evening when he began to get text messages, which included a fake police alert that carried his name, address, driving licence photo and licence plate number. The bogus social media posts even claimed Mr Hicks, 33, was armed and dangerous and had “vowed to shoot” more police officers. "I didn't think nothing of it at first," Mr Hicks told Fox News.  “I thought they were just playing games with me, like a prank." Police receives N30 million bounty for the capture of Bobosky.

Governor Nyesom Wike, of  Rivers State, on Thursday redeemed the N30m bounty to the police following the capture of notorious robber and kidnapper Honest Diigbara, popularly known as Boboski. Wike had last year placed the bounty on Boboski for information that would lead to his arrest. Bobisky died hours after his arrest while being paraded to journalists at the police headquarter in Port Harcourt. Wike presented the cheque to the Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, on Thursday through the Seceratry to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, at the Government House, Port Harcourt. Mukan confirmed the receipt of the cheque, describing the governor as a promise keeper. “I am glad to inform you that today (Thursday) His Excellency redeemed that pledge he placed as bounty on Boboski. Police kill Okada man over 50 naira bribe in Oyo State.

A certain man identified as Biola has been allegedly killed by police officers in Oyo State over a bribe of 50 Naira. The incident occurred on Wednesday at Born Photo area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital. The deceased was said to be on his way to pick up his wife who was at the hospital before meeting his untimely death. A witness, who identified himself simply as Segun, said he was on his way to work when he witnessed the scene. He alleged that policemen in the area daily engaged in the extortion of commercial bus drivers and motorcyclists popularly called Okada. “The officers stopped the deceased and were trying to extort money from him but he did not give them because he was rushing to the hospital to pick his wife.  “The officers insisted that he must give them money and weren’t listening to anything he was saying. Next thing we knew, one of them went to his side, hit him with his gun. Not satisfied, others joined and he was beaten mercilessly until he died,” the witness s

Man who killed John Lennon has been denied Parole for an 11th time.

Mark David Chapman, the man responsible for the shooting and killing of John Lennon outside his Manhattan apartment in 1980, has been denied Parole for an 11th time, the state corrections officials said on Wednesday. Mark David Chapman was denied after being interviewed by a parole board Aug. 19, according to corrections officials. Chapman, 65, is serving a 20-years-to-life sentence at Wende Correctional Facility, east of Buffalo. Chapman shot and killed the former Beatle on the night of Dec. 8, 1980, hours after Lennon autographed an album for him. He has said previously that he feels “more and more shame” every year for the crime. “I was too far in,” Chapman told a parole board in 2018. “I do remember having the thought of, ‘Hey, you have got the album now. Look at this, he signed it, just go home.’ But there was no way I was just going to go home.” Chapman’s next parole hearing is scheduled for August 2022.

Six Million dollars fraud, 6 high profile Nigerians indicted by the United States Government.

The United States Government has today Tuesday June 16, filed indictments against six high profile Nigerians for conducting an elaborate scheme to steal over six million dollars from victims across the United States. Richard Uzuh, Micheal Olorunyomi, Alex Ogunshakin, Felix okpoh, Nnamdi Benson and Abiola Kayode are all found wanting for cybercrimes, in which their victims were defrauded of more than $6 million dollars via BEC fraud scheme and Romance fraud scheme, following Investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a result of their indictments, all property and interests in property of the aforementioned individuals that are in the possession or control of U.S. persons or within or transiting the United States are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from dealing with them.

Man Charged for allegedly raping physically challenged girl.

The Ogun State Police Command, on Tuesday, arraigned a 35-year-old man, identified simply as Kehinde, before an Ota Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping a physically challenged girl. The police prosecutor, Inspector E. O. Adaraloye, told the court that Kehinde, who lives at Abule-Isale, Ilogbo Road, Ota, was facing one count of rape. Adaraloye added that the defendant committed the offence at his residence on February 12, 2020, around 10.30pm. The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 360, of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun State, 2006. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The magistrate, Mrs A. O. Adeyemi, admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum. Adeyemi also ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun State Government. The magistrate adjourned the case till June 19, 2020, for trial. -The Punch.

85-year-old granny raped by a Young Man in Niger state.

The Niger state police has arrested one Ezekiel Yunana, 25, for allegedly raping a 85-year-old grandmother in Rafi. According to The Nation, the suspect, who reportedly broke into the victim’s room through the window, had asked her to pay a large sum of money after threatening to kidnap her. When she couldn’t come up with the money, the suspect forcefully had carnal knowledge of her. The victim said that the suspect raped her for a very long time before she was rescued by her grandson, Ishaku Achidawa, who was able to identify him. Yunana reportedly confessed to the crime, stating that he raped her since she did not have any money to give him. - The Nation

A Child And Three Adults Injured In London Shooting.

At least four people, including three adults and one child, were shot in North London on Wednesday night. The shooting occurred at 21:45 local time in Energen Close, Harlesden, Brent. British police have launched an investigation into the shooting and all four injured were taken to the hospital, the police said in a statement, adding that there has been no arrest at this stage. A section 60 order that gives police stop and search powers have been activated in the area until 07:00 local time on Thursday, the statement said. The police have also appealed witnesses to come forward, and said additional patrols will go out overnight.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has ordered the investigation  into the murder of 22-year old Uwa Omozuwa. She died three days after she was violently raped inside a Miracle Sanctuary parish, Redeemed Christian Church of God located at  44, Osa Amadasun street, off Agbor road, Benin city. Uwaila was a first year student of Microbiology in the University of Benin before she was murdered. She was a regular visitor to the church where she goes to read. Her Mother and her siblings have been members of the church for 15 years. Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested four days after George Floyd’s fatal arrest that sparked protests, rioting and outcry across the city and nation. On Friday, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, announced that Chauvin was taken into custody by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Chauvin is the former officer in the video seen around the world with his knee on Floyd’s neck. He’d been with Minneapolis police for 19 years. It was not immediately clear what the expected charges Chauvin could face are. Answers will likely be provided by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, as he has scheduled a press conference at 1 p.m. concerning a “major development” in the case.

Boy, 15, beats his ten-year-old sister to death with a hammer in her sleep after they’d argued over using their computer tablet in Kazakhstan

A teenage boy has admitted to killing his ten-year-old sister in her sleep after they argued over using a computer tablet, it has been claimed. The girl, named as Luda and described by local media as smart and spirited, was hammered to death at her home in the city of Taraz, northern Kazakhstan. She was found with a broken skull and died from horrific injuries before paramedics arrived at the scene. Neighbours say the tragedy occurred after Luda and her brother Aleksey, 15, had a row in the courtyard near their house. Shynar Myrzakhmetova, a woman living next door, told local media: 'I heard them quarreling over a tablet and saw Aleksey carrying a hammer in his hand.'  Aleksey is believed to be a gamer and his sister had asked for the device for studying.  Reports say Aleksey attacked Luda at night in her sleep by smashing a hammer into her head multiple times. A man was allegedly  killed by his brother following disagreements over funds generated for mother's funeral. Mr Remigus was allegedly murdered by his brother Patrick Obiesheike in Umulowoshie Umuoahochie Autonomous Community, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, following disagreements over funds raised for mother's funeral. The suspect reportedly fled the community after commiting the crime. Remigus,55, was a commercial motorcyclist, who lived in the village with his family before he was killed by his brother. The wife of the deceased reported the incident to the Obowo Divisional Police Headquarters on Monday. The remains of Remigus has been deposited in a morgue and a manhunt for the suspect, who is currently on the run has the launched, a Police personnel confirmed. With files from The Punch.

Man arrested for allegedly killing his Tinder date.

Police have arrested a Utah man on suspicion of murder after he told authorities that he killed a 25-year-old woman he met on popular dating app Tinder. 24-year-old Ethan Hunsaker, called 911 on Sunday May 24, to report he'd killed someone inside a home in Layton. When police officers responded to the home, they found a woman lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to he torso. Efforts to resuscitate her proved abortive as she died of her injuries at the scene, Layton Police Department said in a prepared statement.  The woman's name was not released immediately. Motive behind the attack is still under investigation but the attack appears to have been unprovoked. Hunsaker is currently arrested on suspicion of first degree murder, and is held in Davis County Jail.

YNW Bortlen to be released from prison on Bonds.

YNW Bortlen was charged alongside YNW Melly in the same Broward County, Florida double murder. Following a hearing on Friday, the 'Mixed personalities' rapper was ordered released on bond on Saturday May 24. According to attorney John M. Philips, who represented the family of one of the deceased, YNW Juvy, Melly will remain behind bars until trial.  Bortlen was charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of accessory after the fact for allegedly working with Melly to kill crew members YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser. Bortlen will be granted release once he puts up colletaral worth in excess of $90k. He wi then be placed under house arrest, and subject to GPS tracking.

Mum dies with a 'broken heart' after son was killed during a fight.

The grieving mother of slaughtered schoolboy Yousef Makki has died with a "broken heart", her family revealed. Debbie Makki, 55, died in the early hours of this morning, her daughter Jade Akoum said. A family statement said: "it is with a broken heart that we have to share this devastating news- our beloved mum and Nana, so loved by everyone who knew her, died in the early hours of this morning. "She was rushed to hospital via ambulance two days ago after struggling at home. "The doctors told us she was critical. She was not strong enough to fight. "Lockdown isolated my mum from her grandchildren, who kept her going and she had too much time to think about the loss of Yousef. "We were unable to be with her in her last moments, just as we were unable to be with Yousef, but there are together now which brings us some comfort. Former Mayor of Detriot, Kwame Kilpatrick Kwame kilpatrick, Former Mayor of Detroit, who was sentenced to 28 years in prison for committing 24 felonies, is set for an early release due to coronavirus pandemic. Kilpatrick has just served only seven years of a 28-year sentence. The purported release comes after five inmates died as a result of coronavirus in the prison where the Former Mayor was held. Kilpatrick is expected to go through a quarantine period before entering home confinement in June. In 2013, Kilpatrick was indicted on 24 felony counts, including racketeering, mail fraud and wire fraud, following investigations by federal authorities.
