Singer Grimes and Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk have welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. The little girl was born via surrogate in December last year, Grimes revealed in a wide-ranging interview with Vanity Fair published on Thursday. Although the 33-year-old Canadian musician apparently had no intention of announcing the birth of their second child, nicknamed "Y," she shared the news after Vanity Fair journalist Devin Gordon overheard a baby crying. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has confirmed that he is selling the club. The Russian billionaire arrived in the English capital in 2003 and Chelsea have won five Premier Leagues and two Champions Leagues under his ownership. FIFA and UEFA said they are suspending all Russian national and club soccer teams from competition until further notice. The UEFA soccer league also said it's ending its partnership with Russian gas company Gazprom. "The decision is effective immediately and covers all existing agreements including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA national team competitions and UEFA EURO 2024," UEFA said.

Popular Ghanaian cleric, Rev Obofour has asked men to divorce their wives if they are troublesome.  The cleric said this while having a conversation with junior Pastors in his church during a TV program. Rev. A judge on Tuesday again, November 10, refused to let British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell trade a jail cell for home detention, citing previous rulings that the nature of charges alleging Maxwell recruited teenage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse and her ability to flee make it impossible to let her out. It was the fourth time that U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan has rejected a bail application for Maxwell, 59. Previous applications were also twice rejected by a Manhattan federal appeals court. Nathan made the rejection in a two-page order in which she also promised that Maxwell will be transported from her Brooklyn federal jail to her trial “in a way that is humane, proper, and consistent with security protocols.” The judge said lawyers for the Metropolitan Detention Center assured these protocols in a sealed letter. In a complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, Daphna and Alexander Cardinale accused California Center for Reproductive Health of breach of contract, medical malpractice and negligent infliction of emotional distress, seeking an unspecified amount of money damages. Daphna Cardinale gave birth to a girl in 2019, but her husband immediately suspected something was wrong because the baby did not resemble either of the parents, according to the lawsuit. Two months later, the couple obtained a DNA test confirming the child was not related to them. Former governor of the Central Bank and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chukwuma Soludo, has been declared winner of the Anambra governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The Returning Officer of the Anambra governorship election, Prof Florence Obi, declared him the winner at the Anambra INEC office in Awka, the state capital this morning, November 10. According to Obi, Soludo polled a total of 112,229 votes to beat his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, who polled 53,807 votes, and Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress who polled a total of 43,285 votes. Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressive Party who polled 21,261 votes came fourth.

Prince Harry has stated that the term  'Megxit' which is used to describe the decision by him and his wife Meghan to quit their royal duties, was a misogynistic term. He said on Tuesday while speaking by video on a panel called "The Internet Lie Machine," organized by U.S. technology and culture magazine "Wired," that  the word was an example of online and media hatred. "Maybe people know this and maybe they don’t, but the term Megxit was or is a misogynistic term, and it was created by a troll, amplified by royal correspondents, and it grew and grew and grew into mainstream media. The Nigerian Army on Monday said suspected Indigenous Peoples of Biafra members were responsible for the wanton destruction of properties in Izombe Community of Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state on October 8. Residents had accused soldiers of shooting a youth of the community identified as Chukwunonso Iherue during a heated argument that led to his death. The youths were said to have mobilized and attacked the soldiers, resulting in the alleged killing of two soldiers and the burning of vehicles. The soldiers were said to have reinforced and stormed the community in a reprisal attack and allegedly killed many residents and burnt houses. A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned till January 20, 2022 hearing on the suit filed by the Coalition of Northern Groups seeking a referendum to determine the fate of Biafra and other separatist organisations in Nigeria. A 39-year-old generator repairer, Paulinus Emeh, who allegedly defrauded his customer to the tune of N2.7m, has appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State. The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Emeh, whose residential address was not provided, is standing trial on four counts of fraud and stealing. The police prosecutor, Insp. N. A. Simon, told the court on Friday that the defendant committed the alleged offences on October 16, around 11am on Community Road, Ago, Okota, in Lagos. Simon alleged that the defendant fraudulently obtained the sum of N2.7m from the complainant, Mr Benjamin Idisi, under the guise of fixing a new core in the complainant’s 1.500KVA caterpillar generator.

The Lagos State Government has reacted to a video that went viral over the weekend wherein pupils were seen in a flooded school assembly ground. In the video, the pupils of primary school age were seen singing the national anthem, knee-deep in murky floodwaters and floating rubber shoes. However, in reaction to the video, the Lagos State Ministry of Education on its Facebook page stated that: “The school assembly viral on social media is a low cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State.  “The video was taken some months ago by a church that wanted to use the video to raise funds for the school.  “The building has been demolished and is being built.  “Lagos State authorities are sending officials there on Monday to ascertain level of progress.  “Thanks for your concerns.” - TRIBUNE

A mother has given birth to a baby boy weighing more than a stone in Oxfordshire - making him the third biggest newborn in the UK.  Cherral Mitchell, 31, required two midwives to deliver baby Alpha before he left staff at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford stunned when he weighed in at 14lb 15oz.  Alpha, born at 38 weeks on Thursday, has since been nicknamed 'Baby Hippo' and 'Butter Bean'.  Doctors have attributed Alpha's sizeable weight down to a sweet tooth, as they believe he was snacking on his mother's sugary fluid while in the womb. The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has announced additional 166 COVID-19 new infections from 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the country.  The NCDC, via its verified website on Thursday, notes that the 166 fresh cases indicate an increase from the 159 cases posted on Tuesday. The Public Health Agency noted that till date, 211,496 cases have been confirmed, 202,930 cases discharged and 2,886 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
