President Joe Biden called the US airlift of more than 120,000 people from Afghanistan an “extraordinary success” Tuesday, a day after the last US soldiers pulled out of the country. “We completed one of the biggest airlifts in history,” Biden said. “No nation has ever done anything like it in all of history; only the United States had the capacity and the will and ability to do it,” he said. According to reports, Vanessa Bryant has settled a lawsuit filed against her by her mother. Sofia Laine sued her daughter after claiming she wasn't compensated for her duties as a nanny to Vanessa's and Kobe's children for nearly 20 years. Laine also claimed that Kobe said she would be taken care of for the rest of her life, however, was kicked out of the house they bought for her when Kobe died in January 2020.  Vanessa called the lawsuit "frivolous, disgraceful and unimaginably hurtful," adding, "my husband never promised my mother anything, and he would be so disappointed in her behavior and lack of empathy."
