THE INTENSIFIED REPORT

 The Lagos State Government has shutdown all schools in the state until further notice over tension arising from the ongoing #EndSARS protest. The Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adeisayo, issued the directive on Monday, stating that the safety of the pupils and students, parents and all staff working in schools is of immense importance at this critical period. She, however, advised parents to keep an eye on their wards and not allow them to be used as willing tools in the hands of those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society. The commissioner also encouraged schools to utilize other means of distance teaching and learning i.e radio, television and online media as they have been doing during and post the recent COVID-19 lockdown. Adefisayo stated that a new date of resumption for all classes will be announced as soon as possible.

The Lagos State Government has announced that 21 patients have been discharged from Isolation centers across the state, having recovered from the virus and tested negative twice. The announcement was made by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu, on Sunday (May 10) on his official Twitter account. Total number of patients that have recovered from the Virus in the State is now 468.
