George Floyd, the black man killed by a Minnesota police officer had coronavirus, according to an autopsy released on Wednesday. According to NBC News reports, Hennepin County Medical examiner said Mr. Floyd, whose death has sparked worldwide protests, tested positive for COVID-19 on April 3. An earlier autopsy from the County revealed that Mr. Floyd died from "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." Mr. Floyd died saying "I can't breathe" as policeman knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes.

Jadon Sancho and Hakimi Achraf  are the latest athletes to join in the protest over the death of unarmed black man (George Floyd) in Minneapolis.  The duo took off their shirts in Sunday's thumping of Paderborn in a Bundesliga match , displaying a message that read, 'Justice for George Floyd'. Sancho who scored his first career hat-trick in the game against Paderborn, and Moroccan International player Hakimi, joins two Bundesliga playes as well as a stack of former and current athletes who have expressed their outrage over Floyd's death. Borussia Moenchengladbach's forward Marcus Thuram, knelt to honour Floyd after scoring in his side's 4-1 home win over Union Berlin. U.S. defender Weston McKennie also displayed a 'Justice for George' message on his armband in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Werder Bremen. Days after he is charged with murder of third degree, Beauty queen kellie Chauvin, wife of Ex-cop Derek Chauvin, who participated in the murder of George Floyd has filed for the dissolution of her marriage to the Ex-Minnepolis cop. Lawyer of the former Mrs. Minnesota  winner made the announcement on Friday.

Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested four days after George Floyd’s fatal arrest that sparked protests, rioting and outcry across the city and nation. On Friday, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, announced that Chauvin was taken into custody by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Chauvin is the former officer in the video seen around the world with his knee on Floyd’s neck. He’d been with Minneapolis police for 19 years. It was not immediately clear what the expected charges Chauvin could face are. Answers will likely be provided by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, as he has scheduled a press conference at 1 p.m. concerning a “major development” in the case.
