561 new cases of coronavirus reported in Nigeria.

Nigeria recorded 561 new casea of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the country's total cases of the virus to 25,694. 9,746 cases have also been reportedly discharged and 590 fatalities recorded according to data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC. Woman gives birth to Child with all four limbs missing.

A woman has given birth to a child with rare abnormalities. According to local media report, the baby (without arms and legs) was birthed by an Indian woman aged 28, in the Sakla village of Sironj Tehsil in Vidisha district. According to reports, the baby was born with an autosomal recessive congenital disorder – Tetra-Amelia – which is characterised by the absence of all four limbs. Footage shows a woman holding the baby which is missing both its arms and legs and is wrapped in a blanket. Dr Suresh Aggarwal, a paediatrician at Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Hospital, Sironj, said the baby is perfectly healthy. Doctors suggest the baby will be taken in for further assessments to check if her internal organs have developed properly. Tetra-Amelia syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in the WNT3 gene and is extremely rare. According to Bhopal CMHO and paediatrician Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, the syndrome affects one in 100,000 newborns. He said this is the first such

One of the most prolific entertainer in the history of show business has died, TMZ reported. Carl Reiner died Monday Night at his Beverly Hills home. He was  98. Reiner was a producer, director and actor, who won many accolades for his work, including a Grammy, 9 Emmys in over 7 decades and has over 400 credits. After 24 years of marriage, Dr. Dre and his wife are calling it quits. Nicole Young filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from the hip-hop tycoon. Sources connected to Young tell  TMZ  that there is no prenuptial agreement and that Young is also seeking spousal support. The couple married in May 1996, the same year Dre left Death Row Records to start his own label, Aftermath Entertainment. They share two children, a son named Truice, 23, and a daughter named Truly, 19. According to  Forbes , Dre’s net worth is estimated at $800 million. Buffon, Chiellini sign one-year deals with Juventus.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and central defender Giorgio Chiellini have signed new one-year contracts to stay with the club until the end of the 2020-21 season, the reigning Italian champions announced on Monday. Buffon, 42, joined Juve from Parma in 2001 and has made over 669 appearances for the club, returning to Turin at the start of the campaign after one season with Paris St Germain. The 2006 World Cup winner has played 13 times in all competitions this season as back-up to Wojciech Szczesny. Centre back Chiellini, 35, entering his 16th year at Juventus, has racked up 509 appearances for the club. Breaking: President Buhari has approved the reopening of schools for students in graduating classes (primary 6, Jss3 and SSS3) to allow them prepare for their examinations.

The Federal Government on Monday announced that students in graduating classes in primary and secondary schools are allowed to resume classes in preparation for the various examinations, but measures must be put in place for their safety. The Presidential Task Force (PTF) announced this in its daily briefing in Abuja, adding that though it asked those categories of students to resume, students in other classes are not allowed to resume. Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, while disclosing this, also said the students will be made to put on face masks compulsorily and observe all other protocols. Renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Chief Bode Akindele, is dead according to the Nigerian Tribune. Chief Bode Akindele, the Parakoyi of Ibadan land and chairman of Madandola Group, died in Lagos on Monday, aged 88 years. A close associate of the late Chief Bode Akindele, Oloye Lekan Alabi confirmed the demise to Tribune Online. Chief Bode Akindele’s philanthropy spans decades with a donation of N100 million to the Federal Government, Oyo and Lagos State governments in the fight against COVID-19 being the latest before his demise.

Iran seeks help from Interpol after issuing the arrest warrant for president Donald Trump.

Iran has issued an arrest warrant and asked Interpol for help in detaining US President Donald Trump and dozens of others it believes carried out the drone strike that killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad. Tehran prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr said on Monday that Trump, along with more than 30 others Iran accuses of involvement in the January 3 attack that killed General Qassem Soleimani, face "murder and terrorism charges", the semi-official ISNA news agency reported. Alqasimehr did not identify anyone else sought other than Trump, but stressed Iran would continue to pursue his prosecution even after his presidency ends. Man arrested for allegedly killing his friend with a voodoo ring during a football match in Osun State.

The Osun state police command has arrested one Lateef Ahmed for allegedly killing his friend by hitting him with a ''magic ring'' following a dispute that ensued during a football match at St Mary’s Grammar School football field in Iwo community of the state.    Though what led to the fight between the deceased identified as Shuaib Isola and Ahmed is still unclear, it was gathered that he collapsed after being hit with the magic ring.    Isola was confirmed dead at the General Hospital in Iwo where he was rushed to as all attempts to revive him proved abortive. 30 dead as Boat capsizes in Bangladesh.

No fewer than thirty bodies has  recovered following an accident in which a large boat capsizes. The accident happened on Monday in the Buriganga river in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, national media reports. The victims are 19 men, eight women and three children, The Daily Star specified, citing rescue services. The search and rescue operation is still underway. The launch, which was carrying over 100 passengers, turned over after another large boat Moyur-2, hit it. ​The water transport authority has seized Moyur-2, but its crew managed to flee the scene. ​The capsized vessel was on the way to Dhaka from the neighboring district of Munshiganj.
