Robbie Fowler quits Brisbane Roar Job.

Robbie Fowler has announced he will not be returning to Brisbane Roar when the league resumes in July because of the coronavirus pandemic.


The former Liverpool striker who was appointed manager on a two-year deal in April 2019, confirmed that he and his assistant Tony Grant will not be in charge when the league resumes on the 16th of July.


"On behalf of myself and Tony, I would like to thank the club for the opportunity, and the Brisbane Roar FC fans for the warm welcome and support for me and the team," said 45-year-old Fowler.

"We are very proud of what we achieved."

Brisbane deputy chairman Chris Fong added: "Robbie has not only provided stability but a refreshing injection of knowledge and insight into the Roar.

"We are disappointed that the global pandemic has impacted our plans together but completely understand that family comes first during these difficult times."

A Catholic priest, identified as Father  Abel Mwelwa , has been suspended in Lusaka, Zambia, after his married lover allegedly died during a marathon sex in his house. The deceased, who was a member of the Catholic Women’s League from St Maurice Catholic Church, had lied to her husband that she was going to a funeral but ended up with the priest. The United States Government has today Tuesday June 16, filed indictments against six high profile Nigerians for conducting an elaborate scheme to steal over six million dollars from victims across the United States.
