Three brothers between 8 and 12 years old were hospitalized earlier this month after they each attempted to recreate comic book superhero Peter Parker’s origin story and obtain similar arachnid abilities. Four Minneapolis police officers were fired on Tuesday after video emerged showing an officer pinning his knee against the neck of an unarmed black man who died following the arrest.  Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced during a press conference that the officers involved in the arrest were now "former employees,"  CBS Minnesota reported . Anambra State Government has confirmed its first COVID-19 related death in the state. The deceased is a 66-year-old man who was among the 10 confirmed positive cases in the state. The State Governor, Willie Obiano made the announcement during a special broadcast on Monday. He noted that the victim did not report to the health authorities early enough. “People of Anambra,  it is important to explain here that the only COVID-19 death we have recorded so far was a 66-year old man who did not report his ill-health on time. “The case was reported late to the hospital and by the time his result came back positive, 24 hours later, he had passed away.” Obiano also announced that there are 10 confirmed cases of the infection in the state, out of which three cases including the index case have recovered from treatment and discharged. NBA great Patrick Ewing has left hospital and is recovering at home after being diagnosed with COVID-19, his son said on Monday. In the footage, the man believed to be in his 40s is heard groaning and repeatedly saying "I can't breathe" to the officer, who is white. The Minneapolis Police Department said the officers had responded to a report of a forgery in progress. It said the man died after a "medical incident" in a "police interaction". A man was allegedly  killed by his brother following disagreements over funds generated for mother's funeral. Mr Remigus was allegedly murdered by his brother Patrick Obiesheike in Umulowoshie Umuoahochie Autonomous Community, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, following disagreements over funds raised for mother's funeral. The suspect reportedly fled the community after commiting the crime. Remigus,55, was a commercial motorcyclist, who lived in the village with his family before he was killed by his brother. The wife of the deceased reported the incident to the Obowo Divisional Police Headquarters on Monday. Woman gives birth to identical quadruplets amid coronavirus pandemic.

A mother in Texas has finally been able to take her newborn set of identical quadruplets home after giving birth to the babies in March. Jenny Marr and her husband Chris  welcomed their four sons into the world on March 15 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. But being premature by several weeks, the babies all had to spend the next 10 weeks in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit followed by nearly a month in the facility's Special Care Nursery. Now, however, Hudson, Harrison, Henry and Hardy have all been reunited with their parents at the family's home. Praising the efforts of the hospital's staff in a post on Facebook, Jenny said: "We had the most amazing nurses and doctors during our NiCU and Special Care stay." In a glimmer of hope in the fight against COVID-19, a new study by Singaporean infectious disease experts has revealed that coronavirus patients are no longer infectious 11 days after contracting the virus even if they still test positive on day 12. In fact, patients may test positive for up to two weeks, with tests being able to detect fragments of the remaining virus in the body, even though it can no longer be spread. The National Center for Infectious Diseases and the Academy of Medicine examined the “viral load” in 73 COVID-19 patients to determine if the deadly virus was still viable and could infect anyone. The researchers wrote that the virus “could not be isolated or cultured after day 11 of illness.” “Based on the accumulated data since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the infectious period of [coronavirus] in symptomatic individuals may begin around two days before the onset of symptoms, and persists for about 7-10 days after the onset of symptoms,” the resear

Man arrested for allegedly killing his Tinder date.

Police have arrested a Utah man on suspicion of murder after he told authorities that he killed a 25-year-old woman he met on popular dating app Tinder. 24-year-old Ethan Hunsaker, called 911 on Sunday May 24, to report he'd killed someone inside a home in Layton. When police officers responded to the home, they found a woman lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds to he torso. Efforts to resuscitate her proved abortive as she died of her injuries at the scene, Layton Police Department said in a prepared statement.  The woman's name was not released immediately. Motive behind the attack is still under investigation but the attack appears to have been unprovoked. Hunsaker is currently arrested on suspicion of first degree murder, and is held in Davis County Jail.

YNW Bortlen was charged alongside YNW Melly in the same Broward County, Florida double murder. Following a hearing on Friday, the 'Mixed personalities' rapper was ordered released on bond on Saturday May 24. According to attorney John M. Philips, who represented the family of one of the deceased, YNW Juvy, Melly will remain behind bars until trial.  Bortlen was charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of accessory after the fact for allegedly working with Melly to kill crew members YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser. Bortlen will be granted release once he puts up colletaral worth in excess of $90k. He wi then be placed under house arrest, and subject to GPS tracking.

The item — listed initially at $15K, was put up for auction by a private collector and was sold by Goldin Auctions. WELLINGTON: A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck near New Zealand's capital Wellington on Monday (May 25), but there were no immediate reports of damage. The earthquake was 37km deep and the epicentre was 30km northwest of Levin, a city in New Zealand's North Island close to Wellington, according to Geonet. It was followed by a 3.5-magnitude quake, then one of 3.6, then 3.7. Geonet first classified the earthquake as magnitude 5.9. Bournemouth did not disclose the player’s identity but said he would self isolate for seven days in line with league protocols before another test is conducted. Czech National Museum opens face mask exhibition.

The Czech National Museum has announced that it will be opening an exhibition of face masks worn to protect against coronavirus, thus giving sign that the disease which has ravaged the world, will one day be history. At the genesis of the crisis, there was a global shortage in the supply of face masks which prompted a global effort to make them  at home. "There is a huge amount of products today, it is tough to say what should be left for future generations. With masks, it is clear cut, they are symbol of the situation," said curator Mira Burianova. The small exhibit in the National Museum in Prague's Wenceslas Square was selected from hundreds of masks sent in by the public. They include fun designs , folk motifs , national flag, and some made by children with autism. The exhibition opens on Monday, just as the Government relaxes it's mask policy.
