Bishops received death threats for speaking out over Dominic Cummings lockdown breach.

Death threat and hate mails have been sent out to Senior Church of England bishops after speaking out about the Dominic Cummings' alleged breach of lockdown rules.

John Inge , Bishop of Worcester, tweeted he received an email warning "stay out of politics or we'll kill you" after he criticized Boris Johnson's defence of Mr Cummings on Sunday night.

He also added: "For me the whole Cummings drama is not about politics but life and death. If trust in Government guidance is eroded we'll have a second spike and 1000s of lives will be lost.


The Bishop of Ripon, Helen-Ann Hartley also posted a similar threat: "stay out of politics or it will be the death of you.

She added, "I feel concern for the person who sent it and will hold him or her in prayer."


Bishop of Newcastle, Christine Hardman also said that she received such mail, she wrote, " I too received such an email. I feel concern for the person who sent it and will hold him or her in prayer."
