Wilder Beaten, Fury focuses on A.J

Image
With the Sunday’s rematch in the books, fight fans will be hoping to see Tyson Fury take on compatriot Anthony Joshua – holder of the IBF, WBA and WBO belts – in a heavyweight unification bout. A British former professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2018, David Haye, also believes Fury will switch his focus to Anthony Joshua after outclassing Deontay Wilder and claiming the WBC heavyweight title. The Gypsy King comprehensively defeated his American opponent who was sent crashing to the floor on three occasions before his corner threw in the towel in the seventh round. Wilder has the option to trigger a third fight but former cruiserweight world champion Haye believes the Bronze Bomber will have no interest in a trilogy given the comprehensive nature of his defeat in Las Vegas. Instead, Haye believes all roads lead to a unification match between Fury and Joshua which has the capacity to be the biggest fight in British boxing history, Metro UK reports. He said, “I am ve

Tyson Fury The New Heavyweight Champion.

Tyson Fury reinvented himself once again, and once again he’s a heavyweight champion. The Gypsy King dropped Deontay Wilder twice Saturday night in their heavyweight title rematch, turning from boxer to puncher to win the title when Wilder’s corner threw in the towel as he was taking a beating in the seventh round. It was a stunning turnaround for a fighter who came back from drug and alcohol abuse to win the title for a second time, made even more surprising because Wilder was the devastating puncher in their first fight 14 months ago. ``The king has returned to his throne,” proclaimed Fury, who fought to a draw with Wilder in their first fight. Fury dropped Wilder in the third round with a right hand that seemed to take the legs out of the champion. He put him down again in the fifth round, this time with a left hand to the body. He also bloodied Wilder’s ear, and seemed to lick the blood off his shoulder in a bizarre scene in the sixth round. If that wasn’t enough fun fo

He came on here after half an hour against West Ham and came through that. Then he played in the other game [vs Villa]. “From a manager’s perspective, you’re guided by medics and himself. He just didn’t quite get the right feeling going into the Chelsea game,” Rodgers told Leicester Mercury.
