Nigeria recorded 241 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday June 2. The new cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control,  NCDC, has announced that 416 new cases of COVID-19 have been across different states of the federation on Monday, June 1. Ban on religious gatherings in Nigeria has been lifted. The Federal government through the secretary to the government and the Chairman of the presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, made the announcement at the daily media briefing on Monday June 1, in Abuja. “The PTF submitted its recommendations and the PRESIDENT has approved the following for implementation over the next four weeks spanning 2nd – 29th June, 2020, subject to review-: “Cautious advance into the Second Phase of the national response to COVID-19; application of science and data to guide the targeting of areas of on-going high transmission of COVID-19 in the country; “Mobilisation of all resources at State and Local Government levels to create public awareness on COVID 19 and improve compliance with non-pharmaceutical interventions within communities; sustenance of key non-pharmaceutical interventions that would apply nationwide and include: ban of gatherings of more than 20 people outside

Nigeria has now recorded over 10,000 cases of coronavirus. 307 new cases were announced by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control on Sunday May 31, taking the total cases in the country to 10,162 , with 3007 discharged and 287 deaths. Nigeria recorded 553 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday May 30. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, confirmed that the country has seen 553 new cases of the deadly Coronavirus across different states.
