#EndSARS : Lagos shutdown schools indefinitely

 The Lagos State Government has shutdown all schools in the state until further notice over tension arising from the ongoing #EndSARS protest.

The Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adeisayo, issued the directive on Monday, stating that the safety of the pupils and students, parents and all staff working in schools is of immense importance at this critical period.

She, however, advised parents to keep an eye on their wards and not allow them to be used as willing tools in the hands of those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society.

The commissioner also encouraged schools to utilize other means of distance teaching and learning i.e radio, television and online media as they have been doing during and post the recent COVID-19 lockdown.

Adefisayo stated that a new date of resumption for all classes will be announced as soon as possible.

A Catholic priest, identified as Father  Abel Mwelwa , has been suspended in Lusaka, Zambia, after his married lover allegedly died during a marathon sex in his house. The deceased, who was a member of the Catholic Women’s League from St Maurice Catholic Church, had lied to her husband that she was going to a funeral but ended up with the priest. The United States Government has today Tuesday June 16, filed indictments against six high profile Nigerians for conducting an elaborate scheme to steal over six million dollars from victims across the United States. Richard Uzuh, Micheal Olorunyomi, Alex Ogunshakin, Felix okpoh, Nnamdi Benson and Abiola Kayode are all found wanting for cybercrimes, in which their victims were defrauded of more than $6 million dollars via BEC fraud scheme and Romance fraud scheme, following Investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
