Nigeria too fragile for another round of lockdown - President Muhammadu Buhari.

The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has stated that the country's economy is too fragile to bear another round of lockdown.

The president, reacting to recent surge in the number of coronavirus cases in some countries, which has led some to another round of lockdown, with France as a case study, advised that all hands must be on deck to avert a second wave of covid-19 in the country.

"Looking at the trends in the other countries, we must do all we can to avert a second wave of Covid-19 in Nigeria. We must make sure that our cases, which have gone down, do not rise again. Our economy is too fragile to bear another round of lockdown," Buhari said.
