China and India agrees to de-escalate border situation.



Chinese foreign ministry has said that China and India have agreed to de-escalate border situation as soon as possible following a clash between their troops.


According to a report by Reuters, Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi told Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar during a phone conversation on Wednesday that India should punish severely anyone that has a hand in the conflict between the two countries and also control its frontline troops, the Chinese ministry said in a statement.


Both have blamed each other for the clash on Monday, which saw no fewer than 20 Indian Soldiers lose their lives.
