Real Madrid skipper saw read as they lost 2-1 to Manchester city in the first leg of their champions league round of 16 clash at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.


Pep Guardiola and his city boys are a step closer to the champions league quarter finals as the defeated Real Madrid 2-1 on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid who has now lost two games in a row will have to put up something special if they are to progress to the next round of the competition.

Isco broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when he calmly placed the ball past Ederson from a Vinicius pass.

However, City replied with a Gabriel Jesus header from a Kevin de Bruyne's cross to take the game to 1-1 and give City a very important away goal in the 78th minute.


Kevin de Bruyne then made it 2-1 for the visitors from the spot after a foul on Raheem Sterling.

Elsewhere, Ronaldo and Juventus lost 1-0 to Olympic Lyon in France.

A Catholic priest, identified as Father  Abel Mwelwa , has been suspended in Lusaka, Zambia, after his married lover allegedly died during a marathon sex in his house. The deceased, who was a member of the Catholic Women’s League from St Maurice Catholic Church, had lied to her husband that she was going to a funeral but ended up with the priest. The United States Government has today Tuesday June 16, filed indictments against six high profile Nigerians for conducting an elaborate scheme to steal over six million dollars from victims across the United States.
