12 year old girl raped, 3 teenagers arraigned in court in Lagos

A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has ordered three teenagers, who allegedly defiled a 12-year-old girl, to be remanded in correctional custody.

On Thursday, the police charged Segun Gbadebo, 18; Taiye Ishola, 17 and Samuel Adebayo, 17, with two counts of conspiracy and felony to wit defilement.

Chief Magistrate A. F. Azeez, did not take the pleas of the teenagers and ordered the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal advice.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. John Iberedem, said the suspect committed the offence on Feb.7, at about 7 p.m. at Ijede junction behind Jaiyesinmi street in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The offence contravened the provisions of sections 411 and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The case was adjourned until April 2, 2020.

A Catholic priest, identified as Father  Abel Mwelwa , has been suspended in Lusaka, Zambia, after his married lover allegedly died during a marathon sex in his house. The United States Government has today Tuesday June 16, filed indictments against six high profile Nigerians for conducting an elaborate scheme to steal over six million dollars from victims across the United States.
